Avanza Healthcare Strategies is pleased to have attended and been a sponsor of the Becker’s Hospital Review 8th Annual Meeting in Chicago, held April 17-20, 2017. Many panel discussions included the evolving role of ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) in the delivery system. A theme heard in many of the presentations was the continuing shift of inpatient cases to outpatient sites, as well as the increasing role of ASCs in the development of bundled payments and value-based care.
The use of telemedicine to improve access in the outpatient environment was also a hot topic.
We look forward to using what we learned at the conference to continue our work supporting clients with the delivery of high quality care in the low-cost outpatient setting.
