Hospitals and FQHCs: Take Advantage of a $50M Opportunity
What should you do when the federal government announces a $50 million funding opportunity?
We say, keep calm and collaborate.
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has announced it is now accepting applications for New Access Point grants. The purpose of this funding is to support new service delivery sites under the Health Center Program that will provide comprehensive primary health care services to underserved and vulnerable populations.
Hospitals seeking to partner with FQHCs should consider applying for funding ...
... as should organizations not yet receiving health center program funding and organizations receiving healthcare center program funding that are proposing new satellite sites.
“Hospital leaders are considering the opportunity to convert their primary care clinics into FQHCs, and this funding may be one answer,” according to Joan Dentler, president and CEO of Avanza Healthcare Strategies. “This is a prime opportunity to jumpstart increasing access to care in communities across the country and collaborating with community health centers.”
