Geri Eaves Joins Avanza as Vice President of Ambulatory Services

Avanza Strategies is pleased to announce that Geri Eaves, BSN, RN, CASC, CNOR, has joined MedHQ/Avanza Strategies as Vice President of Ambulatory Services. In her role, Geri will work with ambulatory surgery centers (ASC) and healthcare organizations nationwide to strengthen operational performance, support leadership teams, and advance high-quality outpatient care.

Geri is an accomplished healthcare executive with more than two decades of experience leading ASCs and clinical teams. She brings a strong track record of operational leadership, strategic growth, and team development across multiple ASC environments.

Prior to joining MedHQ/Avanza Strategies, Geri served as CEO/Administrator of the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee Surgery Center in Franklin, Tennessee, one of the region’s largest and most technologically advanced orthopedic and spine outpatient centers. Under her leadership, the facility expanded its high-acuity orthopedic capabilities, integrated advanced technologies including robotics, and maintained strong clinical performance amid industry-wide staffing and financial pressures.

Geri’s professional background spans leadership roles in regional ASC management, executive administration, perioperative operations, emergency services, and critical care. She has held leadership roles with organizations including Regent Surgical, Vanderbilt Bone and Joint Surgery Center, and Cool Springs Surgery Center, where she focused on improving operational efficiency, strengthening quality outcomes, and building high-performing teams.

A registered nurse, Geri holds certifications as a Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR). She has spoken at national conferences including Becker’s Healthcare, LUGPA, AASCA, and the OR Business Management Summit, sharing insights on ASC growth, technology adoption, and operational leadership.

Geri is also active in professional mentorship and leadership development, serving as a mentor through the ASCA ASC Administrator Development Program and supporting surgery center leaders across the country.
