Avanza has renewed its sponsorship of the KUT and KUTX radio stations for 2017.
KUT FM 90.5 FM is a listener-supported and corporate-sponsored public radio station owned and operated by University of Texas at Austin faculty and staff. It is the National Public Radio (NPR) member station for central Texas. The station supports civic and cultural life in Central Texas through daily news coverage, documentary production and music programming that reflects the Austin experience.
As an NPR station, KUT broadcasts news developed in partnership with Kaiser Health News (KHN). NPR News and KHN have collaborated on coverage of significant healthcare news and developments, providing the public with information and education on a range of health-related issues facing the nation.
KUTX 98.9 FM is a radio station licensed in Leander, Texas, and serving the greater Austin area. The station is under ownership of University of Texas at Austin. KUTX plays more than 30,000 different songs and hosts nearly 300 live music performances every year.
