vanza President and Chief Executive Officer Joan Dentler, MBA, will be co-presenting at the ASCA 2020 Virtual Conference & Expo. This event will be happening live July 9–10 and available on demand until October 31.
Joan’s session is titled “Achieving Physician-Hospital ASC Joint Venture Success” and will be presented from 4:00 pm–5:15 pm ET on Thursday, July 9.
The session’s description is as follows: “In today’s highly competitive, value-based-driven healthcare environment, physician-hospital joint ventures have become a model that more hospitals and health systems are actively pursuing. Analyze the results from the second year of a national survey of hospital executives that focused exclusively on ASC joint ventures. Discuss preferred equity stake, rules concerning participation by employed physicians, management structure, reasons for hospital affiliation/ownership of ASCs, future joint-venture plans and other topics that were covered in the survey.”
The session is considered “advanced,” meaning it will provide ambulatory surgery center professionals who feel they have a strong grasp of the basics with content that will help them take their skills to a higher level.
Joining Joan in delivering the presentation will be Carole Guinane, RN, BA, MBA, CPHQ, executive director at Cedars-Sinai.
