KUT FM 90.5 FM, owned and operated by faculty and staff of the University of Texas at Austin, is the National Public Radio member station for central Texas. KUTX 98.9 FM, also under ownership of University of Texas at Austin, plays more than 30,000 different songs and hosts nearly 300 live music performances every year.
